Part 6 of Lilith's Wine School takes us south of Burgundy to the Beaujolais, a region with a storied history that became the cradle of the natural wine movement in France! The singular red grape of the region, Gamay, can range from a light and fun affair to a dense, structured and complex experience. It all comes down to the talented vignerons and winemakers to harness the potential of Beaujolais' many terroirs.

Though Beaujolais may be known by its Nouveau wines, which release on the third Thursday of every November, we will be exploring the higher level Village and Cru wines from some of the best producers in the region. Perhaps names like Jean Foillard, Marcel Lapierre, Mee Godard, Yann Bertrand and Karim Vionnet ring a bell...
